Conscious Relationships: Living, Dying, and Loving
Saturday, Jan 11, 2025
11:30am – 1pm PT/ 2:30pm – 4pm ET
Ondrea taught and worked side by side with her late husband Stephen for over 35 years. Together with Ram Dass and RamDev Dale Borglum, they founded the conscious dying movement here in the West.
We are delighted that Ondrea who rarely speaks in public anymore, has agreed to this conversation with RamDev. They will talk about her work with Stephen, her continuing hands-on work the dying, and conscious relationships. Please join us for this opportunity to be with a pioneer who has changed the lives of so many.
“They are very dear friends and I have them very deeply in my heart. Their home is like an ashram, their sadhana, which is karma yoga, includes all their lives, their relationship with each other, the relationship with their chilren, and their relationship with friends like me. I really don’t know a couple that keeps the Spirit in their lives as much as Ondrea and Stephen.”
– Ram Dass
“Stephen & Ondrea created a gentle revolution around how we care for the dying and meet death consciously.”
– Frank Ostaseski

Ondrea Levine is a pioneer in the field of conscious dying and a beloved teacher, counselor, and author. For over 35 years, she worked alongside her late husband, Stephen Levine, to create and shape the conscious dying movement, a compassionate approach to living and dying with awareness and presence. Together, they co-authored several books, including Who Dies? and The Grace in Dying, which have touched the lives of countless individuals navigating life’s most difficult transitions.
Ondrea’s work extends beyond theoretical knowledge—she has been a hands-on practitioner, offering emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families facing illness, grief, and death. Her teachings emphasize the transformative power of love, presence, and deep listening in the process of dying, helping people to embrace the sacredness of life’s final moments.
Today, Ondrea continues to offer workshops, teachings, and private counseling, carrying forward the legacy of the conscious dying movement. Though she rarely speaks in public anymore, she remains a guiding light for those seeking to understand the intersection of life, death, and spiritual connection.
RamDev Dale Borglum, Ph.D. is the founder and Executive Director of the Living/Dying Project. For over 40 years, RamDev Dale Borglum has worked with the dying. They worked with thousands as they faced various personal crises. He is a seasoned practitioner in both meditative and devotional traditions, and continues to use his wealth of experience and the teachings passed down to him to offer support for others.
